Dear John

Reading the book was more detailed and precise but watching it made me more emotional (I think). It makes me fall in love right now, but the problem? John Tyree is hard to find in my place –sad to say but it’s true. Its not easy to find someone who will give you a love you don’t want to end and you will never forget –a love that will last a lifetime.

John and Savannah, ordinary couple you may say, but their story is life changing to people, like me –it gave me (plus) to my hope’s that, yeah, there are still caring, loving, understanding, sacrificial men on earth. Though they are only a few, at least I know they exist, and I will wait for my John. But until then, ill just go with the flow of what and will going to happen to me.

Sacrifice is one thing I learned from the movie. That though we love someone there are things we need to sacrifice even though it can hurt the person we love, that even if love someone we need to choose between things, sure there will always be someone who will get hurt but at least not both of them is sad –someone is happy.

And also, I learned that, we need to always have an open mind, we have to be always open on things to happen. That we should not close our mind to things that we don’t like, that we just have to try things –to know what will be the conclusion of what you did, and that will keep you wondering and asking yourself with “what if’s”.

But unlike the story of John and Savanna parting apart, I want my story to be different where my “John” and I will live –even though not happily ever after because I know there will be bumps and tests on the road, at least we will be together forever. And everyday our story will be written in letters to inspire and to be loved by people.

Love, really is powerful. No matter what. Love really conquers all.

The thing is. There are things that have been change.

1. Tim is not married on the book (2.) And Allan is his brother not his Son.

3. They didn’t show the part when Savannah is in school.

4. They didn’t show the part where John is on the tree watching Savannah look at the moon.

5. In the book Savannah didn’t ask John’s dad to go with them in their house, but she did on the movie.

I recommend you read the book first then watch the movie. :]

I’m inlove w/ Nicholas Spark’s!

I’m really starting to like Nicholas Sparks. Even though i noticed that (almost) all of his books ends in not so very happy ending, i still admirehim. He didn’t disappoint me with Dear John.

I bought  Dear John because i was excited to see the movie, so i thought, maybe, i should read the book so it’ll let me slow down on being so excited for the movie.

So there i am purchasing the first Nicholas book of my life. And thank God i bought it,be cause, i was not dissatisfied. The moment i flipped page 1, its like i don’t want to put it  down and i should just finish it already. And untill then, i promised myself, i will buy every title he will publish! And as of this moment, i have Dear John & The Last Song.

Quotations from the book The last Song by Nicholas Sparks

“He knew it was a ridiculous fantasy, but without music he felt aimless and adrift.”

“What did he mean when he felt God’s prescence? How could anyone explain such a thing? It would be like describing colors to someone blind from birth: The words might be understood, but the concept would remain mysterious and private.”

“… he’d really been searching for ways to fill his emptiness he sometimes felt inside him.”

“…people didnt changhe. They liked what they liked, even if they didnt know why.”

“Because i should have trusted my instincts…”

“The next you’re mad at me, talk to me. Don’t shut me out. I don’t like playing games.”

“There are guys who grow up thinking they’ll settle down some distant time in the future, and there are guys who are ready for marriage as soon as they meet the right person.”

“If the relationship can’t survive the long term, why on earth would it be worth my time and energy for the short term?”

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

The-Last-Song-Book

Very nice story. It was all unexpected, how everything happened between Ronnie and Wil, and with the issue about her mom and the Cancer her dad suffered.

That God is always everywhere. That we should learn to forgive what others have afflicted us, but firstly we should forgive ourselves first. That we should treasure every single moment we have with our loveones. That we should first ponder on things and arguments we have with the persons we are close too, so wewont end up being sorry for just assuming things.

The even-though-she-freaks-out-and-blame-me always-even-if-its-her-fault-i-always-forgive-her thing is really not real. This book showed that even though how much you love a person, there will come a time that he/she will surrender on you when you always blame him/her of everything.

CLING.to.GOD. ALWAYS.FOREVER.

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

So, John helped Savannah retrieve her bag then “snap” everything fell into place. At that first moment, they really clicked and the spark just emerged into nowhre.

Love is really found when we least expect to happen to us.

It’s quite unbelievable on how they just fell inlove in just a -eye-to-eye contact with each other, i mean can that really happen? She saw you, and you saw him and then just that you love each other already? I would really love life more if love is like that, love is created in just an eye-to-eye!

With Savannah, being so patient and understanding but in the same way too straighforward, id love to be like her. She’s going on the lil perfect side already, being a good girlfriend loving daughter, teacher and stuff? its hard to be on a place where you have many stuffs attached with you, cause i know that i can only multi-task about 3 things –text, conputer and talk sometimes eat too. :)

The Savannah falling out of love to John is normal cause everybody falls out of love when the person you love is so far away, and that what he promised you didnt turn out the way you wanted and someone comforted you and you always see that person and you always hangout. And with the letter thing, yea, everybody will stop writing too much the moment something is filling their time, that, that time is suppose to be the time she/he is thinking of you.

However, with the money. Its really love that caused John to sell all the coins his dad gave him. I mean, its a memorabilla and you’ll just sell it for someone who have the love of the person you love.
