I just saw this movie called Sister’s Keeper and i was sobbing and wepping the whole time. This movie is about letting go, love and acceptance. Generally it focused on love for the whole family.
Taking the story in my angle, it simply tells us to have faith, trust and never ask “why?” to God. This movie, when you apply the lessons that you can learn from it, it can be life changing to everyone who watches it. The portrayal of a teen having a cancer, falling in love and the likes is very touching.
I was moved on how she handled the truth and how his bf (who died in cancer) thought him to accept the reality. Their relationship made each one of them become stronger and thought them that “you have to live each day like its your last” since we never know when will God take the gift of life He let us borrowed.
And since it tackled about cancer, i have thought again how lucky i am that i dont have this kind of sickness. I mean, yea i do take medicines, undergo laboratories (extracting of blood, needles -long ones, pain) and have my doses of radiation 2 times a year, but, compared to how cancer patients what im undergoing is just a ounce of the liter they are enxperiencing.
Sometimes, we watch movies because its, the latest, or your favorite actress is starring in it, forbut for whatever reason it may be, i just want to say that when you are watching try to put yourself in one of the characters -esp. the main character because i assure you, everything will make sense, it’ll give you life lessons minus the real pain -since its just a movie.
And also, i made a list of some lessons i learned from the movie:
1. Love like your always in love.
2. Always be there to your family.
3. We must learn to accept that death will come to everyone of us. That death is the remainder of life. That we will all have to undergo it.
4. We should be very vocal on about how we feel towards other person(boyfrienf/girlfriend/sister/parents/family/friends/relatives).
5. That we should always consider everyone before making decisions.
6. That sometimes, we must ask what the person wants and not just assuming what you think he/she likes.
7. That even if its hard and painful, we must learn to let go.
8. That even if we think we are best, we must still sometime ask for advices and opinions.
9. That in a family, no one should be kept away, everyone should be intact.
10. and lastly, Whatever’s happening to your life today, trust God. Put it all to Him. Because I am very sure that whatever it is that your into rightnow, its for your best.
